Reciever-In-Canal (RIC) hearing aids are discreet, comfortable and fit an array of hearing losses. It is for these reasons that this is the most popular style of hearing aid on the market. This style of hearing aid is so named because although the body of the hearing aid sits on top of the ear (next to where one’s glasses legs rest) the receiver (loud speaker of the hearing aid) sits down in the ear canal. Having the sound from the hearing aid being transmitted closer to the ear drum means that the hearing aid can produce a clearer and crisper sound for the hearing aid wearer.
